How to Extend PLDT Home DSL/Fibr WiFi Signal

Today, you can now extend your PLDT Home DSl/Fibr signal at home. With the PLDT WiFi Repeater, you can have strong signal anywhere in your home and enjoy simultaneous connection with a range of up to 25 meters. If you have a larger space at home, you may need to get an extra router to extend the signal. Configuring your second WiFi router can be a bit challenging but I’ll make it easier for you by using PLDT WiFi Repeater.

Here’s the guide on how to configure your PLDT WiFi Repeater:

1. Plugin your PLDT WiFi Repeater to power outlet. Take note, make sure your repeater has strong signal from your pldt DSL/Fibr router or else it will have poor internet connection for your WiFi devices.

2. Connect to your PLDT WiFi Repeater using your computer, tablet, or mobile phone. The default WiFi name of your repeater is “PLDTHOMEREPEATER” and the default password is “1234567890“.

3. Once you’re connected, open up your web browser and go to “192.168.1.253” then enter.pldt-wifi-repeater-setup

4. You’ll need to login, enter your repeater’s admin username and password. You may use the default username and password; Username: admin Password: 1234pldt-wifi-repeater-setup

5. Once you’re in the repeater’s GUI page, click on “Start” from the left side.pldt-wifi-repeater-setup

6. Hit “Next” button to start discovering your PLDT home DSL/Fibr wireless connection.pldt-wifi-repeater-setup

7. Once the scan is complete, you should have your PLDT Home DSL/Fibr wireless connection in the list. Select your router’s WiFi name, then hit “Next” button to continue.
Note: If you can’t see your WiFi name in the list, place your repeater closer to the router then try againpldt-wifi-repeater-setup

8. You can now change your repeater’s WiFi name, use the same password as your DSL/Fibr WiFi password. Hit “Next” button once done.pldt-wifi-repeater-setup

9. Finally, Hit “Finish” button and you’re done!

Note: You may also use any WiFi router to extend your PLDT WiFi signal. Just what I’ve said above, it’s a bit challenging because you have to configure your secondary WiFi router as WiFi Repeater or use a long Ethernet cable to connect your secondary router to your main router with correct settings.
