It is already given that having a handy-dandy Globe Pocket Wifi is very useful especially when you’re always on the go and you need to connect to the internet.
Either it’s for personal use like checking your favorite social media accounts, or maybe you need to check job-related stuff, having a Globe Pocket Wifi makes it more convenient and fun.
However, there may be a few times when you encounter technical-related issues like having slow connection and you need to change your Globe Pocket Wifi password. If you have this issue and you have no idea how to do this, follow the instructions below and I’m sure you’ll have your connection back in no time (unless of course, it’s caused by another issue.)
To change your Globe Pocket Wifi name and password, follow these steps:
- Connect to your Globe Pocket WiFi using your laptop, cellphone, or tablet. If you don’t know your old wifi password, follow this simple guide.
- Open up your device’s internet browser and enter 192.168.8.1 from the address bar.
- Enter your admin page username and password. You can try the default globe pocket wifi admin page credentials below:
Username: admin
Password: admin - Once logged in, you will see the Quick Setup window. You can click the Quick Setup button if you want to use the step-by-step instructions or Skip button if you want to change your WiFi name and password manually. For now, click on “Quick Setup” button and we’ll start from there. Also, click on the checkbox below if you want to disable the Quick Setup window next time you need to access the admin page again.
- Under “User Settings” page, enter your admin page username and password again, then hit “Next” button to proceed.
- For “Internet Connection” page, you can choose which network would you like to use for your internet connection. I recommend to leave it as it is, just scroll down the page and look for “Next” button to continue.
- Under “Wireless Settings” page, you can now change your WiFi name and password.
Note: If you want other people to see your WiFi network when your pocket WiFi is on, just click the “Visible” radio button.Once done, hit the “Next” button.
- Next is “Device Placement Guidelines” page. Make sure to read it, once done, hit “Finish” button. You’re done!
- If you choose skipping the quick setup instructions, you can go to “Wireless” from the main menu, then “Wireless Security Settings” from the left side.
Enter your desired WiFi name and password, once done, hit “Save” button.
