There are times when we needed to type a word with a letter enye (ñ), but we just couldn’t figure out how and where to find it.
If you have the letter ñ in your keyboard, then good for you!
But if you don’t, sometimes, you may end up getting frustrated and you just type the letter n. Done!
The thing is, you don’t have to worry now because I will share with you my tips on how you can EASILY type ñ without getting frustrated.
Whether you’re using a desktop computer or laptop (Windows or Mac), tablet or smartphone (Android or IOS), this guide is for you!
For PC:
Option 1 – For desktop computer with standard keyboard, you can create letter ñ by holding the Alt button in your keyboard while pressing the number combination in numeric pad. The Numeric Pad is a group of buttons located at the right side of the keyboard.
- To create small letter enye (ñ) using Numpad:
Alt +164 or Alt + 0241 – for small letter ñ - To create big or capital letter enye (Ñ) using Numpad:
Alt + 165 or Alt + 0209 – for uppercase letter Ñ
Option 2 – For laptop which doesn’t have a numeric pad, use “Character Map” app to create letter enye (ñ).
1. You can access Character Map by pressing the “Windows” + “S” buttons from your keyboard to bring up the search box.
2. Enter Character Map on the search box, then click on the app.
3. Find the letter enye (ñ or Ñ) and click it, then click on “Select” and “Copy” button. Then paste it wherever you want. Take note, you can also use Ctrl+V to paste it.
For Mac:
On your keyboard, press and hold the “option + n” button, a tilde will be created, then press “n” or “shift + n” for uppercase enye (Ñ).
- option + n, n – for small letter ñ
- option + n, shift + n – for uppercase letter Ñ
For IOS and Android:
Typing enye (ñ) on mobile device is very easy, just hold the letter “n” to reveal enye (ñ).
For uppercase enye (Ñ), tap “shift” button first before holding the letter “N”.
