Can’t wait to know how it works?
Let’s get started neighbors, follow my simple guide below on how you can deposit money using BPI Express Deposit Machine.
STEPS TO DEPOSIT MONEY USING BPI EXPRESS DEPOSIT MACHINE
- Go to the nearest BPI branch that has BPI Express Deposit Machine.
On the screen, select Cardless Deposits. This is helpful especially if you left your ATM card at home and you need to deposit money to your account.
This also works best if you need to deposit money to another person’s account because you don’t need to have their ATM card. Just make sure to get their ATM Card number, not the account number.
- Select the language you want to use.
- Select the bank that you’re currently using or where your recipient account is under.
- BPI Family
- BPI Direct
If the account number where you will need to deposit money to is under BPI, you can only deposit money using a BPI Express Machine. Otherwise, your deposit will not be accepted.
It happened to me before. I was trying to deposit to a friend’s BPI account and I realized that I was at the BPI Family bank. I tried it both with the BPI Family Express Machine and over the counter, but they did not accept it.
TIP: If you’re going to deposit to another person or company’s account, make sure you ask them what BPI bank it is.
- Choose EXPRESS DEPOSIT then select the account type, either Savings or Current account. Current is the same as checking account.
- Enter the BPI ATM card number as shown on the screenshot below.
The first 6 digits are already shown on the screen. All you have to do is enter the remaining 10 digits, which you can find at the front side of the card.
Take note, this is different from your account number at the back of the ATM card.
After you have entered the card number, click or tap OK on the lower right side of the screen to continue.
On the other hand, if you’re going to deposit money to your own account, and you have with you your ATM card, there’s no need to enter the number anymore. All you need to do is INSERT the card and you can proceed to the next steps.
- Enter the 2-digit JAI or Joint Account Indicator number located at the bottom right (front side) of your ATM card.
- You need to insert now the money to the machine.
Make sure they’re not folded because the machine might or will not accept it.
You’ll know that it’s not accepted because the money slot will open up again with the bills that were not accepted. Check the bill or bills and make sure they’re in good form before you insert them again to the slot.
Then click ADD CASH.
Note: The machine only accepts cash in 100, 500, and 1000 in denominations. The machine won’t allow foreign currencies to be transacted.
- Once all the bills have been inserted successfully, check the figures or amount displayed on the screen and if everything is correct, you may now tap DEPOSIT to proceed.
If you need to add more cash, tap ADD CASH and insert the bills to the machine.
If you want to cancel the transaction and get your money back, tap RETURN and the money will be ejected from the reject unit slot.
Assuming, you’re ready to deposit, hit DEPOSIT and wait for your transaction to be processed.
Once it’s done, you will get a receipt from the machine. In the event that the machine cannot release a receipt, you may check your current balance in the machine to confirm if your deposit transaction was processed successfully.
