All experts started small and it’s the same for workers in the construction industry. Before the skilled workers developed their special skills and expertise, most if not all, started as a laborer or assistant.
If you don’t have that much experience or skills yet, you can always start as a laborer as long as you are willing to be trained and develop new skills along the way. Even though some employers prefer applicants with experience, you have a good chance of getting shortlisted if you are willing to learn or undergo a training.
