Have you heard of BPI Online Banking before?
If not, BPI Online Banking is an easier and faster way to do your banking transactions online.
One of the things that you can do with BPI Online Banking is to check your BPI online balance inquiry. Another thing is to transfer funds or send money to another person’s account online without having to go the bank.
Before you can do all these, you need to register your BPI account first in BPI online banking by going to www.bpiexpressonline.com. Click here to read the steps on how to do so.
You will also need to ENROLL the account of the person or company before you can transfer funds to their account. To do that, read the instructions here.
Assuming you are already registered to BPI online banking and you have already enrolled the third party account, you will now have the option to transfer funds to their account.
STEPS ON HOW TO TRANSFER FUNDS WITH BPI ONLINE BANKING
- You need to login to your BPI express online account by going to www.bpiexpressonline.com and enter your correct user ID and password.
On your menu tab, hover your mouse cursor to Funds Transfer, then click Transfer Funds Today.
- Fill-out the form below with the required info.
The first box is the amount that you want to transfer for example “5000”. You don’t have to include the comma.
The second box is your BPI account. A drop down menu will show all your BPI accounts like your savings, checking, and passbook if you have one.
The third box is the BPI account that you have enrolled. Click on the dropdown to show all the third party BPI accounts that are enrolled in your BPI online banking.
The fourth box is where you need to put in your remarks for example “For dad’s new iphone”.
- After you have completely filled-out the boxes, hit the Transfer Now button.
- A confirmation message will show up on the screen.
- You will also receive an email from BPI indicating that you have successfully transferred the funds via BPI online banking.
For me, transferring funds using BPI Online banking is a little bit safer than BPI mobile banking.
Why?
Because the account is enrolled and it automatically shows the name of the account owner. In BPI mobile banking, you can transfer to anyone’s account by entering just the account number and you need to be extra careful and make sure that you enter the correct account number, because there’s no way to verify the account owner’s name.
If you made a mistake, even if just one digit of the account number that would be a lot of hassle for you as you will have to report it to the bank, then the bank will try to contact the owner of the account and ask permission if they could return the funds to the correct account number.
However, in terms of convenience, BPI Mobile banking is bit more convenient and easier because you don’t need to enroll and activate the third party’s account.
Whatever works best for you, go for it! 🙂
